Known as the King of Pop, Michael Jackson consciously played with fashion in his public appearances and music videos. In this instance, his historically-inspired military jacket presents a glamorous iteration of masculinity and prestige. The portrait was completed posthumously, as Jackson passed away before the portrait could be finished.
